Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 26 May 2026

This policy applies to the Notch mobile app for iOS and Android.

Data kept on your device

Your workout history, exercises and sets, templates, preferences, integration status and calculated progress insights are stored locally on your device so Notch can track and present your training.

Apple Health and Health Connect

If you connect and enable Health sync, Notch writes completed strength-training sessions and any distance you record in a workout to Apple Health on iOS or Health Connect on Android. If a synced workout is later changed to remove distance, Notch may remove the corresponding exported distance entry so the health record reflects the workout.

Notch requests write access for this feature and does not request permission to read your existing health records. You can stop future Health exports in the app's integration settings.

Strava

If you connect and enable Strava sync, Notch sends completed workout information needed to create or update a Strava weight training activity. This may include the workout name, timing, set summary and recorded distance where present. Notch stores authorization tokens securely on your device for this connection and clears them when you deauthorize Strava.

Diagnostics

Configured release builds may use Sentry to send crash reports, error diagnostics and operational breadcrumbs that help diagnose failures. Diagnostic information may include device or request context made available through Sentry's configured default personally identifiable information handling.

Your controls and retention

Local app records remain stored locally until you manage them in the app or remove the app's storage. Health and Strava sharing is optional and can be disabled or disconnected in settings. Information already exported to Apple Health, Health Connect or Strava is managed through those services as applicable.

Third-party services and children

Optional connected services apply their own privacy terms. Notch is not intended for children under 13, and it is a fitness tracking tool, not medical advice.

Updates and contact

This policy may be updated as Notch changes. The latest version will be available on this page with its effective date.

Contact about privacy will be available here once the hosted contact form is configured.
